Headline prices are GST excluded. GST is 18 percent, additional. Equipment, installation, transport, statutory licence and designer cabin are inside the number. Civil work is not, except the steel shaft on a structure lift.
What the number covers
What Rs 7,43,000 buys
A 6 person, 408 kg gearless machine-room-less lift at G+1. This is the lowest published price on the site, and it is the machine most apartment buildings and small offices actually order.
- Gearless permanent magnet machine, VVVF drive and controller, all inside the shaft head.
- Automatic doors at every landing.
- Installation labour by our own team.
- Transport, statutory licence and registration.
- Designer cabin from the standard cabin design range.
- Automatic rescue device, interlocks, light curtain and overload protection.
The shaft is your civil cost. For this machine that means a 1600 mm by 1500 mm well, a 1500 mm pit and 4400 mm of overhead. Those numbers and the ones for every other capacity are published on the passenger lift page.
What moves the price
Three things, in order of size
- Capacity. The ladder above is for the 6 person machine. Going to 8, 10, 13 or 15 persons changes the machine, the well and the price.
- Stops. Roughly Rs 85,000 per extra stop, most of it in the landing door and its interlock.
- Speed and duty. A lift in a building with three hundred trips a day is rated differently from one in a four-flat block.
Above G+4 we quote individually, because at that height the rope, the counterweight and the controller specification all start to move together.
MRL against MR
Why this is cheaper than the machine room version
Our 8 person MR machine starts at Rs 8,15,000. Comparing the two headline figures is not quite fair, because one is a 6 person machine and the other an 8 person, but the structural difference is worth understanding.
An MRL lift packs the drive into the top of the shaft, so there is no room to build above it. An MR lift needs a dedicated machine room with its own access door, stairs and clearance, and that room is a civil cost you carry on top of the lift price. On a plot where floor area is the expensive thing, that room is often the deciding argument rather than the lift itself.
Where MR wins is serviceability and, on heavy-duty buildings, longevity. We will price both if both work.
