An 8 person, 544 kg geared traction MR lift starts at Rs 8,15,000 at G+1, GST excluded. Quote the machine room civil cost separately and in writing.

Headline prices are GST excluded. GST is 18 percent, additional. Equipment, installation, transport, statutory licence and designer cabin are inside the number. Civil work is not, except the steel shaft on a structure lift.
The machine room slab and walls are customer-side civil work. We state that before you find it on a later invoice.

An 8 person, 544 kg geared traction lift with a dedicated machine room above the shaft. This is the volume product for builders and housing societies, and it is specified because it is easy to service for thirty years.
- Geared traction machine, controller and machine room equipment.
- Landing doors at every stop.
- Installation labour by our own team.
- Transport, statutory licence and registration.
- Designer cabin from the standard cabin design range.
- Automatic rescue device, interlocks, light curtain and overload protection.
Two civil costs are yours rather than ours: the shaft, and the machine room above it. For this machine the room is 1800 mm by 2000 mm and 2300 mm high, with its own stairs and a 915 mm access door. We say so before you order rather than after.
What moves the price
Four things
- Capacity. 4 to 20 persons, each with its own well, car and machine room size. The full table is on the passenger lift page.
- Stops. About Rs 90,000 per extra stop on this machine.
- Door type. Manually operated doors are the published configuration. Automatic doors are an itemised upgrade.
- Duty rating. Underrating a lift to win a quotation is the most common reason lifts fail early, and we will not do it.
MR against MRL
When the machine room is worth building
Our 6 person MRL starts at Rs 7,43,000 and needs no room above the shaft. So why would anyone build one?
Because a machine room is a room. An engineer can stand up in it, work on the gear in daylight, and change a component without working from the car top. Over thirty years that shortens every service visit and it makes a major repair a day rather than a week. On a housing society with a hundred flats and a lift that runs all day, that matters more than the floor area the room takes.
Where MRL wins is on plots where that floor area is the expensive thing, and on buildings where a room above the shaft is not permitted. If both are possible we price both and let you decide on the total.
