About Laurel

We were elevator customers before we were an elevator company

For years we worked as builders and developers. That put us on the buying side of this transaction, not the selling side. Laurel exists because of what we found there.

Why we started

Why should buying a lift be this difficult?

We ran construction projects across North India, and on every one of them we bought lifts. We met the same problems that builders, homeowners and property owners meet: quotations that changed after we had committed, delivery dates that moved, specifications nobody would put in writing, no straight answer about where a component actually came from, and real doubt about who would take responsibility once the lift was installed.

After enough projects we stopped treating it as bad luck and started treating it as a question. Where were the delays actually coming from? Where did the unexpected costs appear? Why did customers feel abandoned the moment the lift was working?

The answer was not that the market needed one more elevator company. It needed a better way of doing it.

What we built instead

The company we wanted to hire

So we built Laurel around the things we wished someone had given us: clear specifications, pricing you can check line by line, honest information about components, timelines that survive contact with a real site, communication that continues after the invoice, and service that is still there in year five.

We know what it is to be responsible for a project deadline, and to coordinate architects, civil contractors, electrical teams and customers around one delivery. When a lift supplier misses, the problem does not stop at the lift. It moves the whole programme.

We were builders who became customers. We became customers who studied the problem. Now we are building the answer to it.

What we carried over

Six things we fixed because they were done to us

Specifications in writing

What you are buying is described before you sign, not summarised as a model name and filled in later.

Pricing you can check

Equipment, installation, transport, statutory licence and cabin, each on its own line. The licence and the designer cabin are inside the number, not added afterwards.

Honest component information

We name a component brand only where we can show a purchase order in Laurel's own name. Buying a part is not a partnership.

Timelines that hold

Thirty days from the date your site is ready, written into the contract. If your site was ready and we run late, we pay you interest.

Communication that continues

A message at every stage, from order confirmed to installation booked. Nobody should have to chase a supplier for a delivery date.

Service that outlasts the sale

The first year of maintenance sits inside the purchase price, and the AMC rate is on the website before you buy, not negotiated in year two.

Who we work with

The three kinds of project we take

Government projects

Public buildings, institutional premises and tendered work, with the registration, inspection and licence paperwork handled by us and documented for the file.

Private and residential

Houses, apartment blocks, RWAs, hospitals, hotels and commercial buildings. From a single home lift to a full set of passenger lifts across a development.

Large-scale industrial

Goods and freight lifts, car elevators and heavy-duty installations for warehouses, factories and logistics buildings, rated for the duty they will actually see.

We take enquiries from anywhere in India. If the job is buildable and you want us on it, we will quote it.

Laurel warehouse holding lift components and spares
Our warehouse in Hari Nagar, New Delhi. Spares are held here rather than imported on demand.

How we work

Our own stock, our own people

We hold our own stock, so a replacement part is a drive away rather than a three-week import. Our technicians are on our payroll rather than subcontracted to whoever is free that week, which is why the people who surveyed your building are the people who hand it over.

Every Laurel product is built to IS 17900, the current Indian standard for lifts carrying persons and goods. Registration under the Lifts and Escalators Act 2024, and the Electrical Inspector licence where it applies, are handled by us and priced inside the quotation.

Being straight about it

What we are not going to claim

Laurel is a young company. We are not going to print an install count we do not have, put a star rating on the homepage, or borrow a legacy that belongs to somebody else. For a company whose whole argument is that you can check what it says, the first invented number would be the end of it.
