Because you are buying the shaft you do not have to build. A passenger lift assumes a building drawn around a hoistway. A home lift has to go into a house where neither the pit nor the headroom exists, and the drive types that make that possible cost more to build.

No. Every price on this site is before tax. The price list shows how GST is added and where it sits on the quotation. It appears on its own line, never folded into the headline.

Customer-side civil work: the shaft, the pit, the machine room where one is needed, and the power supply. The one exception is the structure lift, where the steel shaft is ours and inside the price. We give you the drawings and the loads so your contractor can price the civil work properly.

We publish. Eight configurations across seven lift lines, three floor counts, in one table, with the per-stop figure shown. You can check it against any quotation you are already holding, line for line.

30 days from a site-ready start, written into the contract. Site-ready means the shaft, pit, machine room and power supply are complete and available to us. If your site was ready and we run late, we pay you interest at the rate in the contract.

Yes, and the drawings are yours to keep. You get exact shaft drawings and the power requirement whether or not you buy from us. If you take them and buy elsewhere, that is a fair outcome and it does happen.

Load test and safety gear test records, the licence and registration papers, the operation and maintenance manual, the warranty document, and the AMC terms. Plus training on site for whoever will use the lift every day.

No. Our technicians are on our own payroll, which is why the people who surveyed your building are the people who hand it over.

Usually yes. Three routes exist: a shaft in a stairwell void, a self-supporting steel structure inside the building, or an external structure against the outside wall landing at every floor. What decides it is headroom and pit depth, not budget. Send a photograph of the stairwell and we will tell you free.

A structure lift. A self-supporting steel shaft carries the lift itself, so the existing building is not asked to do work it was never designed for. It is the only line where the shaft is ours and inside the price.

It depends on the machine. A hydraulic lift needs as little as 350 mm of pit and 3300 mm of overhead. A passenger MRL needs 1500 mm of pit and 4400 mm of overhead. Every figure is published in the dimension table on each product page.

On the standard configuration, yes. Single phase 220 V is the published supply, with a 1.2 kW motor. The survey confirms it for your house.

Yes. The Lifts and Escalators Act 2024 requires the owner to register the lift before installation, with private and public premises registered separately, and requires the installing agency and the AMC agency to be registered as well. In Delhi and Haryana a licence from the Electrical Inspector is needed before the lift can be used. Laurel handles registration, inspection and the paperwork, and the cost appears as a visible line on your quotation.

IS 17900, the current Indian standard for lifts carrying persons and goods. It came into force in 2022 and replaced the older lift standards.

Yes, on every Laurel lift and inside every published price. The automatic rescue device brings the car to a landing and opens the doors on a power failure. It is mandatory under the Lifts and Escalators Act 2024, so if another vendor has quoted it to you as an optional extra, that tells you something.

Semi-comprehensive residential AMC starts at Rs 25,000 per lift per year, with parts billed separately. Comprehensive residential is Rs 46,000. Commercial and RWA rates start at Rs 65,000. The full rate card is on the service and AMC page.

Yes. Tell us the make, the age, the number of floors and the drive type, and we will send you the AMC charges in writing before any visit rather than after it.
