What the number covers
What Rs 6,15,000 buys
A 1000 kg goods lift at G+1 with collapsible gates. It is the cheapest machine on this site because it carries goods rather than people, and the specification reflects that honestly.
- Geared traction machine and controller.
- The car, built for a pallet or a trolley rather than for a passenger.
- Collapsible gates at each landing.
- Installation labour, transport, statutory licence and registration.
Two upgrades are common and both are itemised rather than folded in. Automatic doors add Rs 1,20,000. Going from 1000 kg to 2000 kg adds Rs 5,85,000, because it is a different machine rather than a bigger version of the same one.
What moves the price
Capacity first, doors second
- Capacity. We build 500 kg to 4,000 kg. The well, the car and the machine room all grow with it, and the full table is on the goods lift page.
- Door type. A collapsible gate needs less lift well depth than an automatic door at the same capacity. That is the real reason the gate is cheaper, not just the door itself.
- Duty. A warehouse lift running all shift is rated differently from a kitchen lift running at meal times.
- Stops. About Rs 70,000 each.
Against the adjacent machines
Goods, dumbwaiter or passenger
Three machines get confused with each other at the quotation stage, and picking the wrong one is expensive.
A dumbwaiter is the right answer for trays, files and small stock. It is far cheaper, but it will never take a pallet and it must never take a person.
A goods lift takes the pallet. It is not rated to carry passengers, and a vendor who offers to size one so your staff can ride up with the load is offering you something that will not pass inspection.
If people genuinely need to travel with the goods, you need a passenger machine rated for both, and that starts at Rs 8,15,000. It costs more for a reason.

The published price is the starting point. This is how you get yours.
Tell us the heaviest single load, the trips per day and whether a pallet truck rolls across the sill. Those three answers set the price.
- A free site survey, and the drawings are yours whether or not you order.
- An itemised quotation: five lines, the tax on its own line, and the total.
- A written completion date, and interest paid by us if we miss it.
