Headline prices are GST excluded. GST is 18 percent, additional. Equipment, installation, transport, statutory licence and designer cabin are inside the number. Civil work is not, except the steel shaft on a structure lift.
What the number covers
What Rs 16,90,000 buys
A 3000 kg hydraulic car elevator with a wide platform, sized to take a saloon or an SUV with the doors closed and a driver walking out beside it. At G+1 that is two stops and two landing entrances.
- The machine: hydraulic power pack, cylinder, valve block, controller and the platform itself.
- Installation labour, by our own team rather than a subcontractor.
- Transport to site.
- Statutory licence and registration, handled by us and included in the figure.
- The cabin and platform finish from the standard family.
What it does not cover is your civil work. The pit, the shaft walls, the load-bearing slab at the top landing and the power supply to the machine are your contractor's scope, and we give you the drawings and the loads for all four so nobody has to guess.
What moves the price
Four things that change the figure
- Capacity. 2500 kg, 3000 kg and 3300 kg are three different machines. Heavier vehicles need a wider platform and a bigger power pack.
- Door type. An automatic door needs somewhere to park its panels, which widens the well. A collapsible door does not.
- Number of stops. Each extra stop adds roughly Rs 2,60,000, mostly in the landing entrance and its interlocks.
- Turntable. If the basement is too tight to reverse out of, a turntable is a separate line, quoted on its own.
Against the alternative
How it compares to building a ramp
A car elevator is almost always compared to a ramp, and the comparison is not really about the machine. A ramp at a workable gradient eats between four and six car spaces on every level it serves. In Delhi NCR, where basement parking is the reason the basement exists, those spaces are worth more than the lift.
That is why we ask architects to bring us in at design stage. Once the ramp is drawn into the basement, the slab is planned around it and the conversation is effectively over.
The other comparison worth making is against our goods lift price. A goods lift moves a pallet. A car elevator moves a vehicle with a person in it, and the safety requirement, the platform width and the levelling accuracy are all different. They are not interchangeable at any price.
